They don't as yet have any reason to go hunting Anne down and know nothing of Rick. So maybe they think one of those are the radio/chopper people. We also have to remember Maggie is out there with Georgie helping other communities build up. Perhaps no one believes that group is still out there? Like he at some point tells them and since they've not seen any more helicopters or heard anything on their radio setups they don't consider that group significant. The question is why now hasn't he said anything about the radio group or has he and why does it seem to be a non issue?

I think one of the first episodes post time jump is him on a radio so there's a hint maybe he was looking for the helicopter people's group or even Anne.Īt some point he is with Rosita and I think well over Anne but I think he got too deep with the radio, Rosita is involved as is Eugene so he can't just pack it away and say forget about it. Now with the radios it doesn't make sense to me that Gabriel hasn't made a connection that there are other people out there. There are many more plausible explanations for the lack of a body like him turning and wandering off, being washed away, blown up and washed away you just don't imagine a wild theory over more 'rational' ones. In Gabriel's mind Anne was gone after she knocked him out so in his view she left via chopper and Rick's 'body' vanishing happens many hours later maybe half a day or more. We can also say Gabriel doesn't connect the helicopter to Rick being 'taken', everyone pretty much thinks he's dead not missing, just the body. She can't be the only one able to draw and they had 7 years. Yeah they wouldn't necessarily want to destroy images of their family but if they hated her as a traitor trying to kidnap Gabriel maybe make new ones. Created by Robert Kirkman and artists Charlie Adlard. On television, he was portrayed by David Morrissey.

Like his hurt feelings and desire to protect her from people thinking poorly of her maybe? Her art still hangs up at Alexandria. The Governor (real name in the novel and comic book: Brian Blake, alias Philip Blake in the TV series: Philip Blake, alias Brian Heriot) is a fictional character and central antagonist from The Walking Dead comic book and television series. Now Gabriel has a bit of a thing about maybe not bringing it up, to still 'cover' for Anne/Jadus. I think it is almost guaranteed he or Gabriel will finally mention it in regards to chasing after Rick if that is where Michonne goes. While Negan isn't at the moment really 'welcome' in the community maybe next season (very conveniently) he'll bring it up when it is time to do something with or regarding the radio woman. But he seems to have kept quiet as a fuck you to them to not know what's up in the world. He easily could spill the beans on just about any and all secrets as some sort of tactic like bargaining. In the almost 7 years now he's been in jail if he was 'suicidal' as in a hunger strike. Negan might not mention it as leverage someday but really that's kind of lame. I think they expect us to forget about it and it wasn't quite a decade in with the choppers maybe 4 years or so.
